Mirosław Reczko is a historian who graduated from the University of Detroit. He nostrified his diploma at the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. He broadened his knowledge during postgraduate studies: Quality Research in Education at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and Human Resource Management at the University of Bialystok. He is a PhD student at the Department of History and Sociology at the University of Bialystok, where he submitted a thesis entitled "Polish-Jewish relations in the region of Ciechanowiec during World War II".
For many years he used to be a teacher in the J. Iwaszkiewicz Complex of Secondary and Vocational Schools in Ciechanowiec, M. Kopernik Primary School in Ciechanowiec and Pope John Paul II Middle School in Ciechanowiec, of which he became the first director. Between 2003-2006 he was a councillor of the City Council in Ciechanowiec. In 2006 he was elected Mayor of Ciechanowiec for the first time - it is now his third term in office.
Mirosław Reczko works for the development of the municipality, trying to effectively raise funds - in addition to many infrastructure and road projects, he implemented 5 projects in the field of Renewable Energy Sources that amounted to 9.2 million PLN. For example, in 2014-2015 he implemented a project of installing solar collectors on public and residential buildings in the Municipality of Ciechanowiec, the current project is oriented on the installation of solar panels for water heating in the Municipality of Ciechanowiec ".
He is actively involved in activities for the development of civil society and non-governmental organizations. He is also a founder and former president of the Association "Tutor", which grants bridge scholarships to high school graduates. Moreover, Mirosław Reczko is a specialist for Euro NGO funds and a leader of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
