a general term, designating an absorbed dose,
it may also designate a dose-equivalent or an effective dose-equivalent
absorbed dose – the amount of energy of ionizing radiation transferred to a unit of mass of irradiated matter. The unit of absorbed dose is grey – Gy (nGy=10-9Gy)
