* dose
– a general term, designating an absorbed dose, it may also designate a dose-equivalent or an effective dose-equivalent
absorbed dose – the amount of energy of ionizing radiation transferred to a unit of mass of irradiated matter. The unit of absorbed dose is grey – Gy (nGy=10-9Gy)
strenght of a dose – dose per unit of time

** Bq
– unit of activity
activity – number of internal changes in the nucleus which occur in a certain amount of radionuclide per unit time 1 Bq = one change per second (kBq = 103Bq)
